The South Flank project located in the Pilbara region, Western Australia includes SMP and E&I construction of an 80 million tonne per year iron ore crushing and screening plant, an overland conveyor system and rail loading facilities, replacing the Yandi mine which is nearing the end of its economic life. 

 Role:

  • Control all aspects of E & I installation associated within the scope of the project.

  • Coordinate works between construction disciplines including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Electrical and external Contractors.

  • Ensure company and contract procedures are followed always with regards to HSE, Quality, Budget and Schedule.

  • Develop detailed reports relating to progress, risk, safety and budget.

  • Liaise with BHP Integrated Project Team to ensure all Project expectations are met.

  • Direct team to ensure all Quality and Procurement requirements are achieved.

Electrical Construction Manager

Balance of plant Construction of Moorabool Wind Farm (MWF), situated South of Ballan, Victoria. MWF is considered two separate wind farms with a common grid connection. The MWF has approval for 50 wind turbines in the North and 54 wind turbines in the South. Zenviron’s scope of work consists of all aspects of engineering, design, manufacture, procurement, construction, commissioning and testing of the balance of plant works.

Role:

  • Develop all electrical procurement Request for Tender packages based on scope requirements.

  • Negotiate with prospective sub-contractors and adjudicate on award of procurement packages.

  • Develop procurement contracts.

  • Assist electrical design team with development of project drawing deliverables inclusive of best construction practices.

  • Develop electrical budget for project.

  • Responsible for all aspects of E & I installation associated within the scope of the project

Electrical Area Superintendent

Construction of a 2 train LNG facility at Bladin Point, South of Darwin, NT.  The scope of work includes cabling and wiring installation, terminations, fibre-optic cabling and splicing, heat tracing, installation of cable trays, ladders and conduit and all required field tests and inspections. Installation work for the plant’s power supply system, lighting system, grounding system, fire alarm system, telecommunication system, cathodic protection installation, etc. including all related cabling and wiring. Installation of local instruments on field-installed piping and equipment, including their junction box, steel supports, etc.

 Role:

  • Manage a team consisting 7 Superintendents, 35 Supervisors, 3 Engineers and 450 blue collar employees.

  • Control all aspects of E & I installation associated within the scope of the project.

  • Coordinate works between construction disciplines including; Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Painting, and Electrical

  • Ensure company and contract procedures are followed always with regards to HSE, Quality, Budget and Schedule.

  • Develop Project Controls to ensure all milestones, progress updates and schedule reporting requirements are achieved.

  • Chair Electrical Progress Meetings and Interface Meetings. Support resolution of all relevant issues.

  • Develop detailed reports relating to progress, risk, safety and budget.

  • Identify/manage project growth.

Role:

  • Implement and monitor stringent safety procedures.

  • Manage a team consisting 2 Superintendents, 9 Supervisors, 2 Engineers and 135 blue collar employees.

  • Control all aspects of E & I installation associated within the scope of the project.

  • Coordinate works between construction disciplines including; Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Painting, Electrical and Marine.

  • Ensure company and contract procedures are followed always with regards to HSE, Quality, Budget and Schedule.

  • Advise Client and Management of developments that may affect project profit, schedules and client relations.

Construction of the new flotation annexe and new sampler station involved the extension of the 11kV power reticulation, new 11kV substation, 415V MCC, flotation pumps, wash water pumps and dosing pumps at Kestrel Coal Mine. Extensions and modifications to existing conveyor control systems, power systems, associated feeder conveyors, feeders, screens, stacker and reclaimer, 11kV reeling cables and controls formed part of the works.  Fibre Optic backbone extended to cover the increased operational area.

Role:

  • Initially oversaw both Greenfield and Brownfield packages before an accelerated delivery schedule required sole focus to the Brownfield facility.

  • Manage a team consisting 2 Superintendents, 15 Supervisors, 2 Engineers and 160 blue collar employees.

  • Control all aspects of E & I installation associated within the scope of the project.

Role:

  • Oversaw multiple small-scale projects running concurrently.

  • Implement and monitor stringent safety procedures.

  • Manage a team consisting 1 Superintendent, 10 Site Supervisors and 10 office Staff.

  • Control all aspects of E & I installation associated within multiple scopes 

  • Coordinate works between construction disciplines including; Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Electrical and external Contractors.

  • Ensure company and contract procedures are followed always with regards to HSE, Quality, Budget and Schedule.

  • Advise Client and Management of developments that may affect project profit, schedules and client relations.
